MUSEUM & EXHIBITION OF PAGANISM & WITCHCRAFT

WHY

Founded with the objective of creating the museum and exhibition in Yorkshire, England.  The ultimate goal being to build a facility where people of all faiths can learn about Paganism & Witchcraft from around the world. All exhibits will be shown in an unbiased way with the intention of revealing the truth on subjects that have become shrouded in a veil of mystery, misinformation & misconceptions. The emphasis being on education through understanding, and is to be achieved through traditional as well as recreated and interactive displays.

Learning should be both informative and entertaining but it must also be based on fact, and be open to the scrutiny of an enquiring mind enabling the formation of an individuals own conclusions. This facility will give the facts.

WHEN

It’s early days in the Museums creation only being founded in 2002. The preliminary target for the venture is for it to be housed in a permanent location by the end of 2005.

As you would expect the main works being undertaken at the moment are the building of the collections and the planning of the display structures. In other words there’s much going on behind the scenes and little to show to you at the moment. Any interesting bits of news will be posted on this site as they develop.

WANT TO HELP?

As with any venture of this nature we are in constant need of help. We receive no outside funding and rely heavily on the generosity and good will of people like yourself. If you have any artefacts that you feel you would like to donate to the museum, no matter how large or small, related to Paganism or Witchcraft anywhere in the world, please get in contact. We are always happy to hear from anyone who would like to get further involved with the museums creation and feel they could offer the time and commitment necessary in a venture of this kind.
